Gastric cancer, both on a global and European scale, remains one of the most common malignant tumors. Despite the involvement of many medical specialties and the use of increasingly advanced treatment methods, therapy outcomes remain unsatisfactory and have not seen significant improvement in recent decades.

The European chapter of the International Gastric Cancer Association (IGCA) has entrusted us with the honor of organizing the European Gastric Cancer Congress (EGCC 2026), which will take place on 2–3 October 2026 in Kraków.

EGCC 2026 is a prestigious scientific event dedicated to presenting and discussing the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer. The Congress program will focus on combined and personalized therapy as well as the further development of minimally invasive surgery, including robotic techniques. We will also pay special attention to cancers of the esophagogastric junction.

We believe that the high scientific standard of the Congress, its international character, and the unique atmosphere of Kraków will foster not only the exchange of experiences but also the forging of valuable professional and friendly contacts.
